Tatsumi Group has published a mook (magazine-book) that compiles information about the Mobile Suits from the Gundam SEED sub-series. The book's full title is Gundam Mobile Suit Coursebook - C.E.70-75 Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Arc. As implied by the covered years, it also includes units from the 2024 movie Gundam SEED Freedom.

The 160-page book covers not only Mobile Suits but also the pilot characters and other vehicles. But as the title implies, only the Mobile Suit pages will appear in color, with the other sections available in grayscale.

This book also includes content from most of the Cosmic Era side stories and MSV (Mobile Suit Variation) entries, such as C.E.73 Stargazer and the Astray sub-series up to VS Astray and Princess of the Sky. But while it obviously does not include the Gundam SEED Freedom Zero movie and the newly ongoing Gundam SEED Freedom Astray manga, the recently concluded Gundam SEED Eclipse is also notably missing from the lineup.

The book has a price tag of ¥1,980 (~$13.85), and it is available for purchase via Rakuten Books and Amazon Japan. The latter has also been confirmed to international shipments for this book.

This SEED sub-series book is actually the fourth one in Tatsumi's Gundam Mobile Suit compilation books, but it is the first one to feature an alternate universe outside of Universal Century. The group first published a book that focused on the U.C.0079-0080 One Year War era in August 2021. It then followed up with another book in November 2022 that covered U.C.0083-0087 era units from Stardust Memory, Zeta Gundam, and Gundam ZZ. The third book, published in September 2023, featured units in the U.C.0093-0097 period from Char's Counterattack, Gundam Unicorn, Twilight Axis, and Gundam Narrative.

Starting on October 17, 2024, 7-Eleven in Japan will run a Mobile Suit Gundam campaign for the series’ 45th anniversary. You’ll be able to get an original clear sheet when you buy a certain brand of chocolate.

There are four variations of sheets to collect: Kira, Athrun, Suletta, and Miorine. The sheets show the visuals of the characters as they appear for the campaign, along with some key scenes from their respective properties. The website suggests several ways you can use them, as they’re more akin to cards than anything else. For example, you can use them as a bookmark or stick them into a clear phone case to show your love for the character. In order to get one, you’ll need to buy three chocolates that are part of the campaign, and you can mix and match which brand. The website lists the items that are part of this.

This promotion will last until October 30, 2024. However, there’s a chance it’ll end early if the stores run out of sheets. From October 29, 2024, you’ll be able to get other pieces of merchandise from the Seven Net Shopping site. The limited edition merchandise again uses the visuals for the 7-Eleven Gundam campaign, and you can get them on acrylic stands and can badges.

The Mobile Suit Gundam 45th anniversary campaign at 7-11 will run from October 17 to October 29, 2024. You can catch up with the escapades of Kira and Athrun in particular in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom, which is available on Netflix.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and its sequel Seed Destiny are some of the most influential and popular Gundam works in their native Japan. But I find them absolutely unbearable to watch, and can’t begin to fathom how there are people who legitimately enjoy these two. Between its slow pacing, irritating characters, and sheer number of mobile suits, it is one of the weaker Gundam entries that doesn’t even have the ridiculous campiness of Code Geass to make it entertaining.

Before we start, I’d like to acknowledge that Destiny in particular had a very troubled production. Chiaki Morosawa, the head writer and creator of the Cosmic Era, became very sick in 2002 after the production for Gundam Seed. Due to treatment often taking her away from her duties and leading to delays, a lot of Sunrise staff had to fill in for her, thus explaining the large number of flashback and compilation episodes in Destiny. Morosawa was the wife of Mitsuo Fukuda, the director for Seed and Destiny. I wouldn’t be surprised if Fukuda was also absent from the studio or if he was not able to work at his best performance considering his wife's illness.

It is irable how the core staff managed to even get over fifty episodes of the show out considering the circumstances. But while I can acknowledge and sympathize with the difficulties behind the scenes, most of my core issues have nothing to do with flashbacks. Even if Sunrise had a smooth time with Destiny, I doubt that it would have been any better when Seed was already like that.

There is always a positive in a situation, and despite my general dislike of the Cosmic Era, I have things I like about it! The music is great, the cast all gave amazing performances, and Athrun is so funny. I bring up Athrun apropos of nothing in conversations about Gundam because he’s one of my favorite butt monkeys in the franchise. He’s kind of ridiculous between his indecisive nature and meme-able lines, as well as his tendency to self-destruct his expensive and advanced mobile suits. Shinn Asuka is my best boy in the Cosmic Era though, and I love the Super Robot Wars series for redeeming him. My stanning of Shinn Asuka is a hint as to why Destiny in particular riles me up way more than Seed does.

The thing about Seed and Destiny is that both shows are very melodramatic. Most Gundam shows can be serious bummers considering they focus on the horrors of war, but Seed and Destiny in particular seem to dial it up to eleven. That’s saying a lot considering they came after Wing, which was also ridiculously dramatic in its own right. The drama of Wing comes from the situations that the characters are in though, whereas so much drama in Seed and Destiny revolved around relationships. The Kira-Flay-Lacus love triangle (?) situation took up so much time, as did the Athrun-Cagalli enemies-to-lovers dynamic. I’m neutral on the ship, but Athrun and Cagalli at least had that very interesting background.

Kira and Lacus are so boring. I really don’t care about what happens there, except apparently the Freedom movie is all about that. They don't have any real wants or fears or motivations for anything. Once Kira and Lacus became a set, they were like a pair of anglerfish who'd fused together during mating. What makes Kira a lame protagonist and a pretty cool antagonist (but NOTa final one!) is that the world seems to bend around him. He's always right and he'll let you know it with his laser beams of death. Why does he do the things that he does? Oh, for peace, he says. How does that translate into peace? Shut up, Kira's got gaudy Gundams to dismember.

My biggest beef is with Destiny. Between his past, grudge against the Freedom, and personality, I found Shinn to be a far more interesting protagonist than Kira was. Athrun being a terrible superior to him was kind of the icing on the cake. Seed’s popularity and influence meant Sunrise could’ve never portrayed Kira and Athrun in a really bad light, even if they wanted to. But I loved how Shinn’s perspective highlighted a lot of their hypocrisy and self-contradictions. It helped make them more dynamic by extension, since these flaws make them feel more rounded as characters.

And then Shinn started appearing less and less after Athrun defected from ZAFT. Once Kira fully returned to the spotlight, it was all over. I still the shock of seeing Shinn’s name third in the credits as opposed to when he was always top billing. Kira and Athrun had overtaken him. Even the Freedom movie—the Kira and Lacus movie—is coming out on Shinn’s birthday. He just cannot win.

As a kid, I heard rumors that people hated Shinn so much in Japan at the time of Destiny's airing, they'd straight up boo Kenichi Suzumura on the streets. That sounds a bit too ridiculous to be true and I sure hope it isn't. But honestly, Shinn's not that bad. I don't get why people think he's annoying. Sure, he could be prickly, but his idealistic attempts to do good, even if that meant going against orders, made him so much more endearing than Kira and Athrun ever were. Sometimes it felt like people only disliked him because he was antagonistic towards those two and honestly, who wouldn't be? Athrun was a terrible boss to him.

If Kira was just kind of boring in Seed, he was full on annoying in Destiny. Let's skip past Seed for a second to take about Gundam 00. I bring up Gundam 00 because soon after Celestial Being appeared on the scene, we see civilians and military personnel react with derision and disbelief at Celestial Being’s methods. Peace through violence, and by inserting yourself into fights that don’t concern you? Ridiculous. But that’s exactly what Kira kept doing for the first half of Destiny.

Kira blowing up the Destroy Gundam even though Shinn talked Stellar down is understandable. It’s not like he knew that Shinn succeeded and in Destroy’s case, Stellar had been rampaging through Berlin and was a real, genuine threat to thousands of people. But in all the incidents prior to the Destroy, Kira’s attempts at stopping people from fighting consisted of indiscriminately destroying machines. Like Athrun said, Heine died as a direct result of Kira’s interference, even if Stellar had been the one to actually kill him. He could barely verbalize his motivations when Athrun was yelling at him, making Kira come across less a force of justice and more like an irrational tyrant.

Some franchises are popular because they happened to be at the right time in the right place. Genshin Impact breaking into the normie market is due to it coming out right during COVID-19 quarantine, for example. Perhaps the way that Gundam fans seem to place Seed and Destiny on a pedestal is due to them having fond memories of watching the show. Nothing beats nostalgia, after all. In any case, I’m very excited for Freedom to be on streaming platforms. I have a bottle of soju in my fridge with that movie’s name on it.

Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny are available to watch via services like Crunchyroll. The Gundam Seed Freedom movie will appear on Netflix from September 1, 2024.

A new Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom physical event will start on the same day as Kira Yamato and Cagalli Yula Athha's birthday. The event, titled "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom The Experience," will take place at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from May 18, 2024, to June 23, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

As May 18 is also the birthday of both Kira and Cagalli, Bandai Namco is also preparing special celebratory drink packages. The birthday covers will be available to those who purchase the special Fortune Latte for 690 yen (~$4.50) apiece by May 26, 2024.

Bandai Namco will also sell other merchandise at the event. It will include a soft drink with regular character cover packaging that comes with a bonus random acrylic coaster for 980 yen (~$6.30). The event will also have interactive attractions that reward more memorabilia.

Sunrise will also hold a special Gundam SEED Freedom cast greeting to coincide with Kira and Cagalli's birthday on May 18, 2024, at 2 PM JST (1 AM ET). However, only Kira's voice actor Soichiro Hoshi will attend, while Cagalli's new voice actress Nanako Mori will not. Shinn Asuka's voice actor Kenichi Suzumura also originally planned to attend, but he withdrew in order to focus on his health recovery.

The movie is still available in Japanese theaters until May 23, 2024. Sunrise has also shared a new update on the box-office revenue, which has reached almost 4.6 billion yen (~$29.58 million). The title has also set a new record as the most-grossing Gundam movie in history.

Sunrise has opened the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series GP2024 poll where fans can vote for their favorite character and Mobile Suit or Armor. The poll features 127 characters and 102 mechs from one of the popular Gundam sub-series. It also includes characters and Mobile Suits that debuted in Gundam SEED Freedom. The latter movie launched in Japanese theaters in late January 2024 and grossed over a billion yen within the first three days.

Despite the numbers mentioned, this poll only features content from the three mainline anime entries: the inaugural 2002 show, the 2004 sequel Gundam SEED Destiny, and the new Gundam SEED Freedom movie. The Cosmic Era universe also has numerous side-story entries, such as the Astray series, the Gundam SEED Eclipse manga, and the 2006 net animation Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer. None of the content from the latter titles appears in this poll.

There are two methods people can use to participate in the poll. They can a vote worth 10 points directly on the webpage once per day for each category. Those who have an X can also post tweets that will add a point each.

After the poll has closed, Sunrise will produce an illustration featuring the top-ranked character and Mobile Suit/Armor. It will also hand out ten cards with the illustration to ten lucky X owners who voted on the platform, are residing in Japan, and can respond to a future Direct Message from the official .

The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series GP2024 poll will remain open until February 25, 2024. Sunrise will announce the poll results in March 2024.

The Freedom Gundam is receiving a bit of a revival thanks to the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed movie, as it will appear in both Extreme Versus 2 and Battle Operation 2. The Rising Freedom Gundam, which will appear in the movie, is the version that will show up in Extreme Versus 2. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]

To start with, let’s discuss the introduction of Rising Freedom Gundam Extreme Versus 2. There are no details about its release date and gameplay as of yet, but there will be more information about it in the future. Like the base Freedom and Strike Freedom Gundams, Rising Freedom has back-mounted wings that it can likely use to move faster. Based on the picture for Extreme Versus 2, it looks like Rising Freedom has the Voiture Lumiere system, like the Destiny Gundam, or something similar to that There appears to be a light effect in between the Rising Freedom’s wings, which was how the Destiny looked when it activated Voiture Lumiere.

As for Battle Operation 2, Bandai Namco will introduce the Freedom Gundam as it appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. It’ll have a cost of 700 and will be capable of both close-distance and long-distance combat. Some of its armaments include the Xiphias Railgun, Lacerta Beam Saber, and Balaena Plasma Beam Cannon. These are all weapons that Freedom had in the show proper. Freedom Gundam will appear on the Steam version of Battle Operation 2.

Sunrise and Sanrio are collaborating on a series of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom illustrations featuring Sanrio characters. Two previous illustrations had been released, focusing on Kira, Cinnamoroll, Lacus, My Melody, and Haro, and the latest one features Athrun with Hello Kitty. (Thanks, Oricon!)

To celebrate the release of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom in theaters this month, Sanrio has released these brand new illustrations featuring the lead characters from the Mobile Suit Gundam film in the style of the film's animation and in a stylized form.

In the stylized artwork featuring Kira and Cinnamoroll, the two are shown to be battle-ready as they smile. In the artwork featuring Lacus and My Melody, My Melody is shown giving Lacus a rose. In the artwork featuring Athrun with Hello Kitty, the two are shown to have their hands up while posing.

Additional illustrations featuring the film's characters with Sanrio characters will be released over the next few days. The three released illustrations can be viewed in the gallery below:

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom is an animated film sequel to the two anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, taking place one year after the events of Destiny. The film's theme song, "Freedom," will be performed by Takanori Nishikawa with Tetsuya Komuro. The official er song for the film is "Reborn" by Nami Tamaki.

During the Sapporo Snow Festival, a snow sculpture of Rising Freedom Gundam, Kira's new Mobile Suit, will be shown off on February 4-11, 2024. There will also be multiple exhibitions promoting the film's release across various locations in Japan.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom will launch in Japanese theaters in late January 2024, and Sunrise is preparing multiple exhibitions to prepare for the movie's arrival. The exhibitions will primarily feature merchandise related to characters and Mobile Suits from the Gundam SEED sub-series.

The first exhibition will be titled "Y2K Sunrise Mecha Exhibition," and it will take place at Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo in Ikebukuro's Sunshine City from December 23, 2023, to February 25, 2024. This exhibition will showcase not only the first Gundam SEED, Destiny, and Stargazer. It will also celebrate many other mecha anime shows from the 2000s, which include Zegapain, Wings of Rean, Argento Soma, Overman King Gainer, and Zone of the Enders' 2167 Idolo and Dolores,i.

Bandai Spirits will hold another exhibition at Tamashii Nations Store Tokyo in Akihabara from January 18, 2024, to March 10, 2024. Unlike the first one, this exhibition will be completely dedicated to the Gundam SEED sub-series. It will also feature new Metal Robot Spirits action figures of the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam with alternative "real-type colors."

Finally, Animate will hold the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Movie Release Celebration Animate Fair" at its stores all around Japan from January 26, 2024—the same day the movie appears in Japan—to February 25, 2024. The stores will sell merchandise and hand out bonus items featuring Kira, Lacus, Athrun, Cagalli, Shinn, Lunamaria, Yzak, and Dearka for the event's duration.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom will appear first in Japanese theaters on January 26, 2024. Takanori Nishikawa's new song "Freedom" will feature as the movie's theme song.

A new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is now available online. You can hear the voices of the characters in this one, though it still does not provide much of an idea of the plot. As an aside, this is our first time hearing the new voice of Cagalli, who appears in the trailer.

It starts with Shuichi Ikeda (who voiced Durandal in Destiny) narrating about someone who was born because the world wanted them to be. It seems that the crew of Archangel has ed up with ZAFT (or an equivalent of it) since there is a scene of them standing next to Shinn and Lunamaria. There is a brief shot of three new characters, with a short blond girl in a place of power. More information on them will likely appear in the future.

Though we don’t know much about the plot, there are some hints at what parts of the conflict may be. The trailer ends with Kira’s eyes glowing red. We can also hear Murrue and Mu telling him to stop. Durandal also appears in the trailer, with someone investigating him. However, Destiny veterans know that Durandal died at the end of the show.

Mobile Suit Seed Gundam Freedom will come out in Japan on January 26, 2024. So far, there is no news on whether or not it will appear overseas.

Naomi Shindo will not reprise her role as Cagalli in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed movie, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Freedom. Instead, Nanako Mori will take over the role. According to an official statement from Sunrise, this decision came after talks with the actress and her agents. However, it did not release a specific reason. [Thanks, Oricon!]

Though Sunrise did not give a reason as to why Shindo will not return as Cagalli, it reminds fans to avoid asking the cast or staff of the movie about her. This is so that people don't spam their social media with questions they can't answer. Everyone else will return to voice their original roles from the show. This includes Soichiro Hoshi as Kira, Akira Ishida as Athrun, and Kenichi Suzumura as Shinn.

Naomi Shindo is still active as a voice actress today. However, she has not been as active as before. Aside from Cagalli, she also voiced Shizuru in My-HiME, Juli Mizrahi in the Xenosaga series, and Havoc in Darker than Black.

As for Nanako Mori, she debuted in 2005 and works as both an actress and narrator as well. She was originally part of Takarazuka Revue as Chihaya Saeki. As a voice actress, she’s played roles such as Akira Kenjo (Cure Chocolate) in Kirakira PreCure a la Mode. She was also Figue in Soul Hackers 2 and Arlecchino in Genshin Impact. She states that she is very proud to be a part of Freedom and will do her best in the role of Cagalli so that everyone can enjoy the story.

A new movie set in the Cosmic Era called Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom will air on January 26, 2024 in Japan. A trailer for the movie is available on the Gundam SEED official Twitter . Sunrise first announced that it was working on a movie for the series back in 2021.

The trailer is about half a minute long, and it mostly focuses on Kira and Lacus. This will be a completely new story and continuation of the original show. There are also some quick scenes from the show, such as when Athrun gifted Tori to Kira. The text that appears on-screen can loosely translate to “Will you choose the destiny chosen for you, or the freedom to rebel?” This concept of freedom versus destiny was present throughout both SEED and SEED Destiny.

Again, this will not be a compilation movie and will continue the story of the Cosmic Era. Gundam SEED aired from 2002 and 2003, and its sequel SEED Destiny aired from 2004 to 2005. Both series follow the conflict between the Coordinators (genetically enhanced humans who reside in space) and Naturals (non-modified humans who live on Earth).

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom will air in Japan on January 26, 2024. It’s unclear if it will appear in other territories.

A Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny HD Remaster complete Blu-ray box set will launch in Japan. The special cover art for the box set has been revealed as well, and it features protagonist Shinn Asuka alongside love interest Stella Loussier. Character designer Hisashi Hirai was in charge of drawing the new illustration. The release date for the new Blu-ray box set is July 28, 2023, and it is currently available for pre-order from Amazon Japan. As a reminder, Amazon Japan does ship worldwide. [Thanks, Oricon!]

The reverse of the box set features Destiny Gundam alongside several other Mobile Suits and other spaceships as well, and it was designed by Chief Mechanical Animation Director Satoshi Shigeta. The new set is divided into four other boxes, and each features new characters illustrations of Shinn Asuka, Kira Yamato, Rey Za Burrel, and Athrun Zala.

Additionally, four episodes specially selected by fans in an online voting will appear with extra audio commentary to commemorate the release of the new Blu-ray HD remaster edition of Gundam SEED Destiny. The episodes selected are 13, 32, 34, and 39.

In other Gundam news, Bandai Namco Holdings recently announced that the franchise made around 131 billion JPY (roughly $944 million USD) in its 2023 fiscal year.

The new Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny HD Remaster Blu-ray box will appear in Japan on July 28, 2023. It costs 44,000 JPY (~$311 USD) but it is currently available for pre-order from Amazon Japan with a 24% off discount for 33,545 JPY (~$237 USD.)

In the game's third season, Bandai Namco will add a new playable Gundam unit to Gundam Evolution. Hyperion Gundam will the roster as part of the content rollout for Gundam Evolution Season 3, titled "Defencer." Season 3 will also include balance adjustments and kick off the "Hyper Update" period. This is a three-month sprint which will see the addition of more new playable units, events, and promotions.

The trailer shows off the unit demonstrating its formidable defensive abilities. Hyperion Gundam uses a rapid-fire beam submachine gun to output damage at close range. Its "Forfanterie" shoulder beam cannons can fire a powerful beam that pierces enemies.

Hyperion Gundam in Gundam Evolution brings its unique "Armure Lumiere" lightwave barriers to the team dynamic, as well. The back-mounted shield generator deploys a one-way barrier that blocks enemy fire from all directions briefly, and moves with the unit. Its G-Maneuver ultimate attack causes the Hyperion to charge forward, pinning enemies on its lightwave shield, which has been reshaped into a pair of battering rams.

Outside of Gundam Evolution, the Hyperion Gundam was first seen in the Gundam SEED spinoff manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray. The CAT1-X1/3 Hyperion Gundam was developed by the Eurasian Federation, part of Gundam SEED's Earth Alliance faction. The Eurasian Federation created it as part of an attempt to challenge the Atlantic Federation's monopoly on mobile suit development. Based on the lightwave barrier technology seen defending the Earth Alliance asteroid base Artemis, the Hyperion was piloted by Canard Pars. He was an escaped Coordinator refugee with a dark connection to SEED protagonist Kira Yamato.

The Hyperion Gundam s Gundam Evolution when Season 3 Defencer debuts on February 1, 2023. The game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Season 2, "Mobius", launched the game on consoles and added the Nu Gundam from Char's Counterattack to the roster.

October 5, 2022, marks the 20th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Today, 20 years to the day after the anime's first episode aired in Japan, Sunrise has updated the title's official site with a new look. It also announced plans to release an anniversary book set and a radio show featuring one of the series' characters, Yzak Joule.

Yzak Joule is one of the ZAFT soldiers who hijacked the Gundam-type Mobile Suits at Heliopolis during the show's starting segments. The character's Japanese voice actor, Tomokazu Seki, will host the radio show. He will discuss the 20-year-old show with other guests and read letters sent by fans.

In addition, Sunrise will release an official book set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gundam SEED. The set will contain the "Freedom" fan book, with over 250 pages of illustrations, and the "Justice" setting material book, with over 100 pages of background descriptions and staff commentaries. Pre-orders will open in Japan around November 2022 with a price tag of 11,000 yen (~$76). Sunrise will ship the finished books in April 2023.

In May 2021, Sunrise announced multiple projects related to Gundam SEED ahead of its 20th anniversary. The projects range from a video game and a feature film to a new manga series and a life-size statue of the Freedom Gundam in Shanghai, China. The new manga series, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Eclipse, is available to follow in English on the GundamInfo YouTube channel.

The first episode of the monthly Gundam SEED Yzak Joule radio show will air around the end of October 2022.

Sunrise and Bandai officially published an English trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Eclipse, the newest title in the Gundam SEED series. It will be available in a manga format and serialized simultaneously worldwide from July 2021.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Eclipse will take place in Cosmic Era 72, the blank year between the original Gundam SEED and its sequel Gundam SEED Destiny. It will tell the story of Tatsumi Hori, a Natural human who has skills suring even Coordinators and thus appointed to pilot the MVF-X08 Eclipse Gundam. Two key Coordinator characters will accompany Tatsumi in the ODR (Orb Disaster Relief) team: the female commander Miyabi Oto Kiou and Ken Norland Suse, a fellow pilot.

The manga project was initially teased in the monthly Gundam Ace comic magazine. The magazine will only contain the original Japanese version of the manga. However, Sunrise will also provide translations of the comic in English and other languages on the GundamInfo website starting from July 2021.

Bandai will release a 1/100 MG (Master Grade) gunpla kit of Eclipse Gundam in August 2021. In addition to Gundam SEED Eclipse, Sunrise and Bandai also revealed more projects related to the SEED series, such as a new video game and a feature film.

These new projects are being made to prepare for the 20th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, which had its television series aired in 2002. The GundamInfo YouTube channel has also ed an opening ceremony video for the project, which includes musical performances by T.M. Revolution.
