Build-a-Bear announced a new series of Sanrio plush, with stuffed animals of Cotton Candy Cinnamoroll, Cupcake Kuromi, Chocolate Chip Pochacco, and Donut Pompompurin with “sweets” themes based on desserts now available. As a note, one of them is an online-exclusive. You can only get the dressed and undressed versions of Pompompurin through the website. The other three are in-stores and online. 

Each of these Sanrio characters features a somewhat standard look for the plush, but there are different accents to each stuffed animal’s fur to make it resemble a candy or pastry in some way. Pochacco is mainly white, as usual, but his ears are sepia toned with dark brown spots instead of plain black. Kuromi is far more pastel than usual, with sprinkles on her cap. Cinnamoroll has a pale pastel pattern all over, instead of being white. Like Pochacco, Pompompurin looks similar to his usual appearance, but his ears have sprinkles and his hat is pink with white icing and sprinkles on top. 

Here are the official pages and prices for each of these new plush. The undressed, standard stuffed animals with no accessories are all $38 each, but the dressed versions’ gift set prices vary slightly. In the case of Cinnamoroll, it’s slightly more expensive due to also including a wristie plush for the character to hold.

It isn’t uncommon for Build-a-Bear to release collections with different variants of these mascots. It happened for Valentine’s Day 2025, and Kuromi was part of that line too. There was also a Christmas collection in 2024 that also included both Cinnamoroll and Kuromi.

Cotton Candy Cinnamoroll, Cupcake Kuromi, Chocolate Chip Pochacco, and Donut Pompompurin plush are all available via Build-a-Bear, with all of the Sanrio stuffed animals except for Pompompurin being available both in-stores and online.

Wooper is the next Pokemon creature to the Build-a-Bear plush collection with a new bundle. The bundle costs $62.50 and is now available for purchase from the Build-a-Bear online store.

The bundle includes the Wooper plush itself, a diving goggle and tube set, as well as a five-in-one sound chip featuring various “voice” lines. The diving goggles and tube are optional parts that can be attached to the Pokemon to make it look like it’s about to go on a swim. The float tube is red and features a pattern inspired by Pokeballs. The plush is 14 inches tall (or about 35.6cm.)

In a similar fashion to most Pokemon creatures, Wooper can only say its own name, so the various voice lines included capture different intonations, volume, and emotions with each delivery of Wooper’s name. The five-in-one sound chip is exclusive to the online bundle and cannot be obtained on retail stores.

The Pokemon line of Build-a-Bear plushes is constantly receiving new additions, with the most recent one being a Yamper plush with a cape and bandana accessories. Furthermore, the Build-a-Bear Vaporeon plush was restocked for Pokemon Day 2025, which falls on February 27.

Build-a-Bear continues to make and sell giant Sanrio character stuffed animals, and it announced that it brought back its huge Kuromi plush. This is a gigantic toy that first debuted about a year ago in March 2024. It’s now back on March 11, 2025, with a $128 standard version and one that costs $134.50 and includes a bow.

This Kuromi stands at 36 inches tall. As such, she can’t wear standard Build-a-Bear clothing. The only accessory option available at the retailer is a “gifting bow” with that is purple with pink skull accents, lavendar hearts, and little versions of the character on it. That can be bought in the bundle or alone for $6.50. While it is large, it can arrive either stuffed or unstuffed, so you could have it filled at a store.

The size does involve some other limitations. You can’t choose economy shipping, so only standard, express, and next day options are available. There are also extra charges if you go with the faster two options. You also can only get it online. It won’t be in-stores, and you can’t pick up one you purchased from a location in a mall or something.

The last huge Sanrio stuffed animal to appear there was one of Cinnamoroll. The rerun of that toy appeared in January 2025. We also got to meet a big Pompompurin too. That showed up in October 2024.  

The giant Kuromi plush is now back at Build-a-Bear, and the store is selling both it and a standard size stuffed animal of the Sanrio character now. You can only find the huge version of the character online.

Build-a-Bear and Sanrio announced a number of new Cinnamoroll Cafe collection stuffed animals, with the two new plush being his friends Mocha and Milk. There are $64.50 bundles with either Mocha and Milk or Cinnamoroll and Milk. Both can be purchased separately. There is also a new suit for Cinnamoroll for $13.50, which can be purchased separately or in a $56 bundle with the toy. This follows the Giant Cinnamoroll release in January 2025.

In addition to the bundles, Mocha and Milk can be purchased separately or in other bundles at Build-a-Bear. Like Cinnamoroll, his friend Mocha can be found in a $56 bundle that includes an outfit and the plush coffee cup. She can arrive stuffed or unstuffed, as well as dressed or undressed. She can also be picked up at a workshop, as these new items are in-store and online. Her outfit is also sold separately for $13.50, or you could get the plush alone for $36.

As for Milk, you can pick up that little plush for $15 alone. As it is pre-stuffed, you can’t have one stuffed for you at a store or arrive unstuffed. It’s also too teeny for clothing.

Build-a-Bear announced that it is once again selling its Vaporeon plush on Pokemon Day 2025. It is only showing as available online through the official website. Only a bundle option is available for $67.

Due to the type of rerelease this is, the official page noted there are restrictions on it. You can’t get the plush separately, of course. It can only ship as a stuffed item, and you can’t get it unstuffed to take to a store to have filled. You also can’t choose how “stuffed” it is or add a scent. All this also means you can’t place an order, then pick it up from a retail location near you. 

All of the content of this Vaporeon Pokemon bundle are the same as the original one Build-a-Bear offered back in August 2020. You get the plush of the Eeveelution, the blue Poke Ball Sleeper pajamas, and a blue Water-Type Cape. It also arrives with a five-in-one sound chip inserted with sounds the character makes from the series.

Back in October 2023, Build-a-Bear released a Giant Cinnamoroll plush, and now the mascot is finally back. It is available in two variants. One is just the 36 inch tall stuffed animal for $128. The other option costs $134.50 and includes a gifting bow to tie around his neck.

The Cinnamoroll Giant plush isn’t all that different from a typical one, as it’s just larger. It is the standard, all-white version of the character. The eye and mouth stitching is blue. Pink cheeks appear under each eye. The Build-a-Bear logo is on the right paw, while the left foot has the character’s name on it. This version of Cinnamoroll can be shipped unstuffed, so you could take it to a store. It will need a larger than usual box, due to its size. You also can’t have any sound chip or scent pack included with it.

Following its original launch and retirement, prices went up for it on various sites. 

Giant Sanrio plush aren’t uncommon at Build-a-Bear. At the end of 2024, another one appeared. The October 2024 debut was Giant PomPomPurin. It was only available online. 

Cinnamoroll is also a staple stuffed animal at the store as well. The standard version of the mascot last showed up again back in February 2023. A Candy Corn variant appeared as part of the 2024 Halloween collection at Build-a-Bear too.

Build-a-Bear just released a new Pokemon plush, which is a stuffed animal of Yamper from Pokemon Sword and Shield. Only a bundle is available online, which costs $65 and includes the plush, two accessories, and a five-in-one sound chip. 

Right now, everything is listed as an online exclusive. This isn’t uncommon, as these types of Pokemon bundles are always are. The product page also doesn’t mention an option to get the Pokemon stuffed animal un-stuffed, so you could take it to a retail store to have that done. Individual prices aren’t listed for things, so we don’t have an idea of how the bundle cost adds up. 

 Yamper is a 10” tall plush, and the new Build-a-Bear Pokemon plush accessories all feature icons tied to it. The cape is yellow with blue lightning bolts that have Poke Balls in the center of them. It also features a white fur lining. The bandana is purple with yellow lightning bolts and Poke Balls on it. The official site included samples of the five-in-one sound chip noises.

Back in January 2024, a Pochacco plush appeared at Build-a-Bear. Now that it’s January 2025, he’s back again. The Sanrio stuffed animal is now available online again at Build-a-Bear. He can be purchased alone for $36 or in a bundle with clothing and accessories for $49.50. The announcement confirmed his reappearance is limited to the online storefront, and it’s uncertain if we’ll also see him in stores again. 

As usual, the plain version of Pochacco is white and black puppy plush with the Build-a-Bear logo on his right paw and the Sanrio mascot’s name written on the stuffed animal’s left foot. He can arrive stuffed or unstuffed, with the latter meaning you’ll need to take him to a retail store to prepare him. Getting the bundle means you get him and a outfit that features a blue hoodie with the character on it and black sporty shorts.

The last Sanrio stuffed animal to appear was Gudetama. First, Build-a-Bear only sold him online. However, he did debut in retail stores in January 2025 too.

Build-a-Bear announced Gudetama, the latest plush in the Sanrio selection, is now available both online and in retail stores. There is also a promotion that is online only. If someone buys Gudetama alone or in a bundle, you also get a 10% discount on other Sanrio stuffed animals and items. 

This comes weeks after Gudetama made his online debut at the Build-a-Bear website. He first showed up there the day after Christmas 2024. At the time, you couldn’t get him unstuffed, so you also had to go with a stuffed option.

The update seems to suggest both the $36 plush and the $51 bundle option might be available in actual stores. If you visit the product pages, each one notes that they are available for delivery or pickup at a “workshop.” This could mean that the $15 hoodie is available on its own as well. Options to get it delivered unstuffed are also available. 

As a reminder, the plush is in two parts, which is Gudetama and the egg white cushion. to check that you have both if you get one at a retail store.

The Gudetama plush is now available in-stores and online at Build-a-Bear, and the 10% discount is temporarily in effect online.

The Valentine’s Day 2025 Build-a-Bear Sanrio collection is live, and this year a pink take on Kuromi s My Melody and Hello Kitty. The plush is available alone for $36, and you can buy a Galentine’s version of her that includes a pair of pajamas for $49.50. The clothing from that bundle is available alone for $13.50, if you’d prefer to buy it for another Build-a-Bear plush.

In the case of the plush, there are no black accents present in this pink version of Kuromi at Build-a-Bear for Valentine’s Day. Her hood is completely dark pink, as are her eyes, smile, and tail. The normally white skull on her forehead is a lighter shade of pink in the shape of a heart. There are also red bows at the base of each of her ears. As for the Galentine’s pajamas she wears, that is red with icons of Kuromi, My Melody, and Hello Kitty’s faces on it.

Themed Kuromis appeared for multiple holidays in 2024. A black and white-striped one with orange accents showed up at Halloween. A green and red-striped one debuted at Christmas too.

While Build-a-Bear is only promoting the Kuromi Valentine’s Day plush as new for 2025, there are two other characters showing up in marketing for the holiday. One is a light pink My Melody. She’s available alone for $36, or you can get her in a Galentine’s Day gift set with a red plaid skirt and shirt that also has this Kuromi and Hello Kitty on it for $49.50. A red bow Hello Kitty is around too, with her available for $34. There’s no bundle available for her online.

On December 26, 2024, Build-a-Bear announced we can now buy a plush of the Sanrio mascot Gudetama. It is available online via two methods. One is a $36 one that only includes the stuffed animal. The other option is a $51 version that includes the plush and a themed hoodie. That top can also be purchased alone for $15. 

You can only find it in the online storefront, as it isn’t sold in retail store, but you can have it arrive unstuffed and stuff it at a store near you.

The Gudetama stuffed animal features the lazy egg sitting on an egg white. It features the character’s typical “meh” expression. On the right hand, there is the Build-a-Bear paw logo. You can also remove it from the cushion to place it elsewhere. If you get it with the outfit, the hoodie is yellow with small Gudetama mascots all over it.

Lots of Sanrio plush appeared at Build-a-Bear before Gudetama debuted. Toward the beginning of 2024, we saw characters like Tuxedosam and Keroppi. Badtz-maru and Chococat showed up in the second half. There were also special variants of existing character. A giant Pompompurin launched at the end of October 2024. There were also Halloween and Christmas variants of some mascots.

The Gudetama plush is at Build-a-Bear now, and people can buy it either alone or in a bundle with an outfit.

Build-a-Bear released a new Pokemon plush, and this time it is an online-exclusive Riolu. It is only available in a bundle, which costs $57. This also means you can only get it with all of its clothing and a sound chip stuffed into it.

When you buy this Riolu, you get the early version of Lucario with a five-in-one sound chip inserted. This makes cries from the character from the game when pressed. It also comes with a Pokemon Riolu Hoodie, which is white with a Poke Ball-themed stripe down the center. It sort of makes the outfit resemble a Premier Ball.

As this is an online exclusive, there are certain limitations in place. For example, the product page doesn’t mention being able to have it shipped unstuffed, so you can take it to a store to have it stuffed. However, you can opt to have it arrive either with or without wearing its hoodie. If you don’t have it wear the hoodie when it arrives, that top will be available separately in the box.

We’ve been seeing new characters in the Pokemon line show up on a monthly basis lately. In September 2024, Build-a-Bear brought back Mimikyu ahead of Halloween. In October 2024, Cubone ed the collection for the first time. Now we have Riolu as the November 2024 release.

Build-a-Bear announced yet another Sanrio stuffed animal, as it is now selling a Giant Pompompurin plush. It is available with or without a Gifting Bow decoration. The standard version is $128. Getting it with a bow costs $134.50.

As expected, this is quite a large plush. It comes in at 36 inches tall.  This means there are some restrictions. You can’t add a scent or a sound chip to it. It is also going to need a larger than usual box, which means you can’t choose Economy shipping and Express and Next Day cost $30 or $41 more than usual. However, you can opt to get it sent to you unstuffed, so you could have it stuffed in a store. The one with the Gifting Bow, which features a yellow Pompompurin design, can also arrive with the bow off so you can put it on yourself. (Said bow is also available on its own for $6.50.)

Build-a-Bear announced a promotion tied to this stuffed animal’s launch. If someone buys this Pompompurin, they also get 10% off other Sanrio items sold on the company’s website. That runs until November 1, 2024. However, that doesn’t apply a number of new releases. So you can’t get 10% off the holiday Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, Kuromi, or My Melody plush, the new Chococat, the 50th anniversary Hello Kitty, or have that 10% discount apply to any other “Giant” stuffed animal.

Build-a-Bear announced a new Sanrio collection of plush toys that involves holiday stuffed animals of Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, and My Melody. These can be purchased alone or in bundles that include themed Christmas clothing. 

The four Build-a-Bear plush this time are Red Bow Hello Kitty, Evergreen Cinnamoroll, Candy Cane Kuromi, and Merry My Melody. While the Hello Kitty looks similar to her typical incarnation aside from the red satin bow, the others feature special redesigns. So this Cinnamoroll is green like an evergreen tree with spotted ears. The Candy Cane Kuromi has a green hat with red and white striped ears. The My Melody’s hood is red, rather than pink, with holly on it. People can also add a Tiny Chum snowman plush. 

As for the outfits, they are sold separately or with the characters in the collection. Since they are standardized, they can be used with existing Sanrio Build-a-Bear plush. These items are the $13.50 Hello Kitty Holiday Dress, $13.50 Kuromi Holiday Dress, $13.50 Hello Kitty and Friends Holiday Sleeper, $18 Cinnamoroll Holiday Suit, and $13.50 My Melody Holiday Dress.

We saw a similar collection already appear at Build-a-Bear. In August 2024, it added Halloween versions of Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, and Pompompurin. In that situation, Cinnamoroll had a candy corn appearance, while Pompompurin was a zombie.

Build-a-Bear announced its next Sanrio stuffed animal, and it is a plush of Chococat. Both the character and its friend Nutz the Hamster are available individually or bundled together in a $64.50 set online.

The Chococat stuffed animal features the black cat character in his blue collar. He stands at 15 inches tall, just like other characters in the Build-a-Bear Sanrio Hello Kitty and Friends collection. He is available online and in-stores. He costs $36 alone. However, you can also get him for $49.50 in a bundle that includes his themed sleeper pajamas or the $64.50 set that includes Nutz. 

In the case of the accessories, those are available too. Nutz the Hamster costs $15 when purchased on his own. This isn’t a plush you can stuff at a store. It is also possible to get the sleeper clothing with Chococat’s face all over it alone for $13.50.

This isn’t the only recent Sanrio stuffed animal at the retailer. Build-a-Bear revealed a Badtz-maru plush in September 2024. Like Chococat, you can get him with a small stuffed friend.
