Following the Digimon Story: Time Stranger release date reveal in the June 2025 State of Play, Bandai Namco confirmed it will sell a Collector’s Edition through its storefront. This will be the only way to get the $199.99 limited edition of the game, with PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions available. These include everything in the Ultimate Edition of the game, alongside a Jupitermon figure.

This basically means the Digimon Story: Time Stranger Collector’s Edition includes more physical bonuses compared to the $69.99 standard, $99.99 Digital Deluxe, and $119.99 Ultimate Edition. The exclusive items are the almost six inch tall figure of Jupitermon, four Digimon Card Game cards with art inspired by the game, and the 100-page The Art of Digimon Story: Time Stranger art book. A physical copy of the game is also included in the PS5 and Xbox Series X bundles, though the PC one only comes with a Steam code.

As for the other items, it involves additions included in the other versions of the game. If someone gets the Digital Deluxe release, that comes with a Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth costume pack. It also has the Ultimate Edition’s Season with three episodes and 15 more Digimon, the Farm Item Golden Moai, Cyber Sleuth BGM DLC, Public Safety Suit and Special Supplies DLC, a costume pack with 12 more costumes, and an early unlock for special versions of Agumon and Gabumon.

Bandai Namco updated its Dragon Ball Project: Multi 4v4 free-to-play MOBA, giving it the name Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra, revealing platforms, and confirming a June 2025 Network Test. Starting on June 12, 2025, Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile players will be able to take part in that open beta. The official site and Steam page both updated to reflect the reveals.

The Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra Network Test will start at 2am ET on June 12, 2025, but Bandai Namco didn’t note when the client for it will appear on storefronts. It did let folks know that they may need to look up a version with “Exhibition Match” in the title to find it. We don’t know every character who will be playable, but the trailer showed an array of familiar faces like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Krillin, Majin Buu (Good), Android 18 and Zamasu. It also looks like the Super Saiyan versions of characters are different than standard ones. Folks who take part will get to play for four days until 1:59am ET June 16, 2025, and cross-play and cross-save will be ed.

While we already knew some of the characters who would be in Dragon Ball Project: Multi, we’ll know even more details about them and how they play after this new test. The latest announcement trailer also highlighted gameplay ahead of the Network Test.

Kawada announced it is working with Bandai Namco to release two Tamagotchi Nanoblock sets based on the original virtual pet. Each one is set to arrive on July 12, 2025 in Japan. They will cost 1,760円 (~$12) each. While US listings aren’t live yet, Amazon already has one placeholder for the white variant.

Each Tamagotchi set ends up building both one replica of the virtual pet as well as an additional item. Each one is based on the first generation model, with one being white with black buttons and the other blue with a clock design and yellow buttons and accents. They are just about two inches tall (58mm) and come with a ball-chain keychain like the toys did. The white kit includes enough pieces to build a baby black Tamagotchi character, and the blue one comes with an egg. Each one features stickers to place over the LCD screen “face” with different designs. Both are only two-star difficulty kits with 200 to 220 pieces.

While this is a replica of the Tamagotchi virtual pet, a new model is on the way in July 2025. Tamagotchi Paradise will involve different types of ecosystems. It also features a crank that lets us zoom in and zoom out on characters.

The Tamagotchi Nanoblock sets will arrive in Japan on July 12, 2025, and it looks like we’ll also see them appear worldwide sometime around that launch.

Bandai Namco announced via the official social media for the Mobile Suit Gundam series that the original Gundam Wing anime is available to watch for free online for a limited time. It didn’t note how long this promotion lasts. However, it confirmed this includes all 49 episodes of the main series, but not the four OVAs. All of this is honor of the 30th anniversary of this installment.

All of the Gundam Wing anime episodes are available for free in a playlist on the official GundamInfo YouTube channel. Specifically, these are the HD remaster episodes of the series. All of them feature Japanese voice acting, but English, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese subtitles are available. 

For example, here is the first episode. 

While this is a limited free release of the episodes, it is possible to stream them with a subscription on other services. Crunchyroll is the current home of the series. All 49 episodes are there now. So is the Endless Waltz movie. 

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is now free to watch on YouTube for a limited time, and the anime is also available for Crunchyroll subscribers. The most recent anime in the series is Gundam GQuuuuuuX, which is only available to watch on Amazon.

Bandai Namco announced its latest entry in the Bikkura Bath Bombs series, and it’s a Sanrio My Fave Color series with toys of five characters wearing bows. While some stores will sell them individually, at the moment two of the only places selling full boxes of them are Entertainment Earth ($130.99) and Bandai ($120). This collection is immediately available.

This is a recurring series involving anime characters, stars of games, and mascots. Once you open a package and drop the bath bomb in a full tub, it will disappear and reveal a figure. Each toy is about an inch tall. 

In the case of the Sanrio My Fave Color Bikkura Bath Bombs series, there are 10 possible toys. Each one is inside a bath bomb that smells like strawberry cake. Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, My Melody, Pochacco, and Pompompurin are all available, with two variants of each one as options. The general poses for each are identical, but the facial expressions and colors of the bows they wear will be different. As an example, Pochacco is wearing a pink bow with shirt and sleeping in one and winking and wearing a teal bow and shirt in the other. A full case contains 15 random toys, so someone will likely get doubles and might not get every character.

Here are the official photos of the package and toys. Bandai Namco didn’t share any pictures of the bath bombs themselves.

There is actually another line available as well. That one features Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Pochacco, and Pompompurin, with each figure designed to be posed in a line together.

In the past, other entries in the series included toys of the shark from Jaws, characters from One Piece, and Tamagotchi hair ties.

Bandai Namco announced its new Tamagotchi Paradise model, and the virtual pet will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025. It will appear worldwide as well, though the English site says the release date will vary. The device will be a part of a World Tamagotchi Tour that includes appearances at MCM London between May 23-25, 2025, followed by additional appearances at events like San Diego Comic Con, Japan Expo in Paris, Tokyo Toy Show, and CCXP Mexico. The US branch of Amazon doesn’t have listings for it live yet, but Amazon Japan shows the Blue Water, Pink Land, and Purple Sky variants already. 

Early comics and reports noted the unique points this time would involve a view of a whole planet, a crank that lets you zoom in on characters in places, and the ability to shape evolution based on where the creature grows up in addition to what they eat. The other details confirmed there are 12 species types and over 50 characters total divided into them. Breeding remains a gameplay element, which affects how characters look when grown up as they take traits from both parents, and the new devices can connect to each other by taking the lid off the top to try and get different pets to marry and produce a new egg. 

Bandai Namco also mentioned the Tamagotchi Paradise virtual pet will interact with Lab Tamas at stores and use Tama Lab Stickers. The stickers include Tama Cell details. The Lab Tamas let people connect a device for items or just play minigames.

As for the World Tamagotchi Tour, that will involve opportunities to test out and see devices. Bandai Namco also mentioned it will sell new virtual pets and collectibles at these events, like the Original Tamagotchi Mametchi Robot variant, but availability will depend on launch dates and other factors. For the new model, there will be an exclusive Tama Lab eight-digit lab code and sticker for Mongatchi. 

The Tamagotchi Paradise will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025, and the new virtual pet will appear worldwide in 2025 as well.

Bandai Namco announced a launch date for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC pack based on the Daima anime adaptation. It will show up on May 22, 2025. A trailer also debuted to show what to expect from both of them.

The video began by showing the characters based on Daima ones that are part of the add-on. These are Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta. The two then fight each other, offering a look at their movesets. After that, we get to see the new loading screens included in the pack based on the anime. Avatar costumes based on both of them, as well as characters like Glorio and Panzy, are a part of it. Parallel Quest and Skills based on the series show up too. 

A Time Patrol Pack will debut on May 22, 2025 too, but Bandai Namco didn’t say what will be in it.

This isn’t the only Dragon Ball Daima DLC to show up in the next few weeks. The first promised Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot add-on is coming soon too. That debuts in July 2025. A second one will conclude that story in the adventure later in 2025.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Daima Pack DLC debuts on May 22, 2025. The Dragon Ball Daima anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

In the Comic Book Day 2025 free Tamagotchi promotional comic, Bandai Namco teased a new Tamagotchi Paradise model, and now we have a date for a possible full reveal of the virtual pet. The official site updated to share a reveal for May 21, 2025. It also mentioned that is when it will be announced in Japan, which means we may learn about it on May 20, 2025 in the US. 

While new Tamagotchi Paradise information isn’t available yet, an update on the virtual pet did appear on the site alongside this reveal. Previously, that comic teasing the new unit only appeared physically for those who took part in Comic Book Day 2025. Now the full comic is available online. Going to the official site allows someone to read about Tamagotchi Planet, and how environments and food influence their evolutionary process. It also offered a clearer look at the three new characters Meowtchi, Irukatchi, and Horohotchi. The comic also showed this design will feature a crank that allows someone to zoom in and out on a planet.

Though this new Tamagotchi model is still a mystery, we did recently see some other announcements. Bandai Namco brought the Tamagotchi Connection device back. There is also a Snoopy Tamagotchi Nano model showing up this year in Japan.

Bandai Namco announced that Furyu’s plush dolls of Kingdom Hearts series characters Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as are now available as prizes in Japan. This applies to both physical arcades and Namco Online Crane games. As of time of writing, the only store that ships worldwide that seems to be selling them is Aitai Kuji, which is selling them individually for ¥2,800 (~$19) each. 

On the official Bandai Namco sites, the plush Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus are being referred to Kingdom Hearts Mascot groups 2 and 3. The second one features Sora, Riku, and Kairi in in their outfits from the first game. The third shows Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as they appeared in Birth by Sleep.

Here are the two photos Furyu and Bandai Namco released. In each case, the plush toys are about 5 inches (~14cm) tall.

This comes after two major series announcements. The first is that Square Enix canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The second involved Kingdom Hearts 4 screenshots showing a playable Mickey Mouse. 

The Kingdom Hearts series characters Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus plush toys are now available in Japanese arcades and online grabbing machines.

Tekken 8 Director Katsuhiro Harada discussed the possibility of a Waffle House stage appearing in the game on social media, during which he brought up his attempts at communication with the restaurant’s owners and representatives regarding outreach about a licensing arrangement. He also suggested a replacement possibility called the “Hustle House.”

Harada actually first mentioned the possibility of a similar sort of stage inspired by the Waffle House in Tekken 8, but that featured a different name or possible distinctions if an agreement couldn’t be reached. He noted, “If we can't get that “House” name license, how about we call it “Hustle House” stage? Doesn't that make sense to everyone?”

Then, in a longer statement, Katsuhiro Harada noted he’d actually been attempting to the Waffle House owners in the hopes of getting the license to feature it as a stage in Tekken 8. He noted, “Over the past year or more, I've actually tried to make through several different channels. However, and this is purely my own speculation, I suspect that the lack of response may be due to the fact that the project I'm known for revolves around “fighting-themed video games.’” 

Harada also explained that was his reasoning behind mentioning the Hustle House option. He noted, “That said, if—like I suggested earlier—using a different name or format is acceptable as long as the core message is maintained, then I would be willing to seriously reconsider and explore this again.”

In another comment on social media, Harada also described a Waffle House employee deflecting a thrown chair by a customer as “an excellent parry.”

Tekken 8 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the next major update will add Fahkumram and a Pac-Man stage as DLC.

Bandai Namco announced that the Tales of 30th Anniversary Art exhibit being held at Namba Marui in Osaka, Japan will feature the Kosuke Fujishima special artwork featuring Phantasia’s Cress, Abyss’ Luke, and Zestiria’s Sorey, and that design appear on special merchandise. That latest leg of the event runs May 16-25, 2025, and it costs ¥1,000 (~$7) to enter the exhibition. You get two postcards, out of five designs, with Tales of series art on them as a bonus for entering. It is free to visit the store tied to it. (Said online store does ship outside Japan.)

The reason for this decision is that a hallmark of this installment of the exhibition is original art by Kosuke Fujishima created for the anniversary and event. In addition to working on character designs for Phantasia, Abyss, and Zestiria, the artist is also known for work on Vesperia, Xillia and its sequel, and Berseria. Bandai Namco shared an official interview with the art earlier in May 2025, and the Japanese social media also highlighted it on May 12, 2025.

As for the new Cress, Luke, and Sorey Tales of 30th Anniversary Art merchandise, they a selection of other pieces available through Edition 88. They’ll be available to buy at the exhibit and online on May 16, 2025. The most expensive item is an signed 88 Graph  of the piece that is 365mm x 440mm. Only 100 will be sold, each one numbered and signed by Kosuke Fujishima. That is 55,000円 (~$372). More affordable options include a 125mm x 95mm acrylic stand for 1,870円 (~$13) and 1,200円 (~$8) clay coaster that is 90mm x 90mm.

Bandai Namco and Krispy Kreme announced that there are 45th anniversary Pac-Man doughnuts available both at the actual locations and at stores like Walmart and Kroger. The official website is now live online, which lets us see participating stores and place delivery orders. In addition to being held in the US, the items will launch in Japan too. They will only be sold for a limited time.

There are three Pac-Man doughnuts available during as part of this Krispy Kreme promotion, and they can be purchased alone or in a box of 12 when ordered from the official site. The Pac-Man Party one features an original glazed doughnut with a sugar decoration of the character and matching yellow buttercream icing. The Strawberry Power Berry option features a strawberry design on top of an original glazed with strawberry filling. Finally, the Team Ghost design looks like an actual maze from the game with Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde icing on an original glazed with chocolate filling inside. These are $2.69 each, which is $0.40 more than a standard version. A dozen, which includes three Pac-Man Party, three Team Ghost, two Strawberry Power Berry, and four regular original glazed, costs $19.99.

As for the options at grocery stores or places like Walmart, it seems Krispy Kreme will only a six doughnut option. That box will consist of one each of the specialty versions, as well as three original glazed ones.

In other game-related tie-ins with these types of companies, we saw Pokemondoughnuts return to Mister Donut in Japan. 

The Pac-Man doughnuts are now at Krispy Kreme and other participating stores that sell their desserts as of May 12, 2025. Bandai Namco didn’t share an end date for the promotion, but it will only appear for a limited time.

At EVO Japan 2025, Bandai Namco revealed that Fahkumram, a character who first debuted in Tekken 7, would be the Summer 2025 DLC character for Tekken 8. Around the same time, paid and free Pac-Man themed cosmetics will launch in this Tekken entry. But before that, free Karate Kid: Legends items will show up alongside version 2.02 on June 3, 2025. 

With the free items, it basically consists of cosmetics for us. We can get a Karate Kid: Legends Hoodie for characters to wear. The vision billboards will also show ments for the film. While those are free, a Tiger costume for Kuma and Calico costume for Panda will appear as paid Tekken Shop items around that time. (Free color scheme costumes will appear for both, however.) There will be a Dragunov costume 1 as well for cash. 

Version 2.03 in Summer 2025 marks the debut of Battle Stage: Pac-Pixels, which is part of the Season 2 Character and Stage . Free Pac-Man Hit Effects will be a part of Fight Round 6, as will a 45th anniversary t-shirt cosmetic, Plushie Ghost Pack, and Pac-Man Ball for Tekken Ball. The paid Fight Round 6 will include a Pac-Man Head, a Ready themed emoji, and a Play themed emoji. 

As for Fahkumram, his teaser for Tekken 8 is quite small. We see him dropped out of the sky onto the battlefield. After he frees himself from his bindings, he tells the unseen person in front of him that they are his next victim.

The last character DLC for Tekken 8 was Anna Williams. She debuted at the end of March 2025. 

Lots of announcements came up at EVO Japan 2025 this year. We learned SNK and Good Smile Company are working on a Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves plush of Mai Shiranui. Overwatch 2 is getting Street Fighter character skins in May 2025 too. 

Tekken 8 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Bandai Namco shared a release date for the first Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC based on the Daima anime. The first part of Adventure Through the Demon Realm will launch on July 17, 2025. This applies to every platform. There’s also a first video showing what to expect from it. 

Here’s the full Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1 trailer. It begins with Goku (Mini) going Super Saiyan and fighting Glorio. After that, we see a story segment that shows Goku (Mini), Glorio, Panzy, and Shin dropping out of the sky. We then see Shin and Glorio in front of Minotaurus, one of the early characters they encounter in the Third Demon World. There is also some gameplay footage showing Goku (Mini) in the new area, wandering around alongside locals, and dealing with some encounters.

The end of that trailer introduced the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Daima Edition. That gives someone a copy of the game and parts 1-2 of Adventure Through the Demon Realm. That will only be available digitally.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the first part of the Dragon Ball Daima DLC debuts on July 17, 2025. The newest anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Bandai Namco announced another Tamagotchi Nano model based on an existing series, and this time it is a Peanuts one that lets people raise Charlie Brown’s pet dog Snoopy. It will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025. There’s no US release date for it. It will cost 4,400円 (~$30). 

When people get this version of the Tamagotchi, they are getting both the unit on a keychain and a case to protect it. In this instance, that accessory is shaped like Snoopy’s red doghouse, which the virtual pet can be placed inside. The keychain portion will go through a hole in the roof. 

As for characters, initial photos and information note that this Tamagotchi Nano will let you raise the famous dog when playing with the virtual pet, with Woodstock the bird also appearing. (It also mentioned Harriet, another bird that comes up during Beagle Scouts.) Since this model is more limited, there will only be three minigames and it doesn’t feature a colored screen. It will, however, feature other Peanuts characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Schroder during event segments and certain scenes. This is common, as we saw similar interactions in the Star Wars and Spy x Family models. 

Here are the first photos and images Bandai Namco shared for the Peanuts Snoopy Tamagotchi Nano, which highlight the dog and ways we can care for the virtual pet. No Snoopy evolutions were shown yet, so we don’t know if Joe Cool or the Flying Ace will appear as options depending on how well we care for the character.
